The Pope, who has consistently urged Western nations to welcome immigrants without restriction, expressed his disapproval of Trump's approach, stating, "If this is true, it is a disgrace," and further remarked, "This won’t do. That is not the way to solve things."
As reported by Gateway Pundit, Pope Francis has previously condemned the act of repelling migrants, labeling it a "grave sin." Interestingly, the Vatican itself has recently implemented stricter regulations concerning illegal entry. According to Carlo Maria Vigano, a decree issued by the President of the Pontifical Commission for the Vatican City State on December 19 mandates harsher penalties for those who breach Vatican borders. The decree stipulates that "anyone who enters the territory of the Vatican City State with violence, threats or deception is punishable by imprisonment from one to four years and a fine from €10,000.00 to €25,000.00." Entry is deemed deceptive if it involves evading security measures or border controls.

This apparent contradiction raises questions about the consistency of the Pope's stance on immigration and border control.
