According to Gateway Pundit, the House Ethics Committee had intended to release a report on Gaetz last month. However, the committee lost jurisdiction following Gaetz's resignation from Congress. Since then, the Democrats have been striving to make the report public, despite the occurrence of damaging leaks.
The report has been subject to selective leaks by the Deep State, with parts of it being disclosed to the media. Additionally, a 'hacker' reportedly obtained a significant number of documents from the report.
Gaetz's resignation from Congress came in the wake of his nomination for US Attorney General by President Trump. The House Ethics Committee had been investigating Gaetz over allegations of sexual misconduct for several years. However, the investigation was concluded when Gaetz stepped down from Congress.

The Gateway Pundit had previously reported on the revival of these allegations against Gaetz by the Ethics Committee, despite the Biden DOJ clearing Gaetz of criminal wrongdoing and dropping the charges in February 2023.

The investigation was reopened in 2023 when Gaetz began challenging former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who was later removed from his position due to Gaetz's Motion to Vacate the chair. McCarthy's allies, known as RINOs, threatened to expel Gaetz based on the Committee's investigation when Gaetz threatened to bring a Motion to Vacate against McCarthy in October 2023.
