The media's influence, though waning, was reportedly used to sway the election in favor of the Democrats. Major media outlets such as ABC News, CBS News, and the Washington Post, all of which are perceived to be the mouthpieces of the Democrat Party, are accused of this interference.
According to The Federalist, the Center for American Rights (CAR), a Chicago-based public interest law firm, has taken up the mantle to ensure that these media outlets are held accountable. The firm, committed to protecting Americans' fundamental constitutional rights, has filed complaints with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Federal Election Commission. The complaints allege that these news outlets have violated broadcast and election law, as well as the public's trust.

The complaints followed the presidential debate in September, where ABC News moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis were accused of favoring Democrat Vice President Kamala Harris while persistently "fact-checking" Trump. The CAR filed complaints alleging "clear sponsor favoritism," contending that ABC failed to uphold standards of fairness governing the use of the public's airwaves.

"Slanting the debate could influence public opinion in ways that undermine democratic processes, which is why the FCC’s standards for candidates’ use of the airwaves are built on neutrality and fairness," the law firm stated.
The CAR also accused ABC of violating federal campaign finance rules against corporate influence in elections. The network allegedly gave a significant contribution to the Harris campaign through its biased debate without recording the in-kind expenditure.
TRUMP'S FAMILY CIRCLE LOOKS DIFFERENT THIS TIME AROUND!
Days later, the CAR filed an FCC complaint against WCBS-TV, a CBS-owned station, for engaging in "significant and intentional news distortion" involving "60 Minutes'" interview with Harris. The center demanded CBC release the full, unedited transcript of the interview, which the network has to date refused to do.
GAVIN NEWSOM IS UP AGAINST A VERY BLOODY FIGHT!
Daniel Suhr, president of the Center for American Rights, expressed his curiosity about how the networks' lawyers would explain their right to hide key evidence on whether they've been actively manipulating the news to the FCC and the American people.
The CAR also filed an FEC complaint against The Washington Post related to the newspaper’s social media campaign pushing its Trump attack pieces. The complaint alleges that the Post's one-sided Facebook campaign pushing anti-Trump stories runs afoul of the FEC’s campaign finance rules.
THIS BLUE CITY WANTS TO HELP TRUMP WITH MASS DEPORTATIONS
The law firm also filed an FCC complaint against WNBC, NBC’s flagship station, alleging a "willful violation of equal time" in response to Saturday Night Live’s opening skit featuring Harris, which was seen as a "free commercial promoting one candidate the weekend before the presidential election."
EEK! ASSESSMENTS ROLL IN FOR KJP—AND MAN, SOME ARE BRUTAL!
The corporate media's political games have not gone unnoticed by members of the FCC, particularly Brendan Carr, top Republican on the commission and Trump’s selection for FCC chairman. Carr has called on CBS to release the unedited transcript of the “60 Minutes” interview with Harris.

Carr also stated that the FCC could weigh the “60 Minutes” complaint in the agency’s review of liberal Skydance Media’s bid to acquire CBS parent Paramount Global. He emphasized that the status quo in the so-called legacy media has to change.

Carr sent a powerful message to social media giants that have played fast and loose with “disinformation,” vowing to break up the “censorship cartel.” He has been highly critical of tech titans Alphabet, Google, Meta, and Microsoft and their partnerships with “fact-checker” NewsGuard, a federally funded company that works to eliminate readership and revenue for outlets that report information that contradicts Democrat narratives.
TRUMP IS ALREADY HAVING SOME EXTREMELY IMPORTANT PHONE CALLS!
Daniel Suhr of the American Rights Center believes that much has changed since the founding of the republic when the press was literally a machine that pressed letters down on a broad sheet. He argues that the major mainstream legacy news media are not special and that the law, including campaign finance law, should be applied to them as well as everybody else.
WHY ARE PENCE AND BIG BUSINESS SWEATING BULLETS OVER RFK JR. CONFIRMATION?
The actions of the Center for American Rights and the FCC's response to these allegations underscore the need for media accountability and fairness in reporting, especially during crucial times such as elections. The media's role in shaping public opinion and influencing democratic processes cannot be underestimated, and it is essential that they uphold the principles of neutrality and fairness.
