In a Facebook post, Sneed confirmed that she and Lyle have been living separate lives for some time now, as reported by E! News. Despite this, she emphasized that they "remain best friends and family."
According to Page Six, Sneed also addressed the ongoing speculation about the cause of their separation. She firmly denied that their breakup was the result of "a cheating scandal." This comes after The Sun reported that Lyle, a convicted murderer currently serving a life sentence, was allegedly involved in an affair with a 21-year-old student from the University of Manchester.

In her post, Sneed reaffirmed her commitment to the cause of her husband and his brother, Erik Menendez. "I continue to run his Facebook pages, with input from him, and I am forever committed to the enduring fight for Lyle and Erik’s freedom, as has been so evident over the years," she wrote. She promised to keep supporters updated on the progress of the case, stating, "I believe we all have the common goal of seeing the guys walk free! I will never stop fighting for them."

Lyle Menendez, who married Sneed in November 2003 while serving time for the 1989 murder of his parents, also released a statement earlier this month. He acknowledged the challenges of maintaining a marriage from behind bars and expressed gratitude for Sneed's unwavering support. "This coming November will be my 20th wedding anniversary," he wrote. "[Sneed’s] unwavering support and belief in me is something I am most grateful for and has played no small part in my journey to be a better person."

The Menendez brothers' case has recently been thrust back into the spotlight following Netflix's portrayal of their crime and subsequent trial in the series "Monsters." High-profile figures, including Kim Kardashian, have called for the brothers' release, citing the "years of abuse" they suffered at the hands of their parents. Kardashian argued in an NBC News essay, "In prison, they both have exemplary disciplinary records. We owe it to those little boys who lost their childhoods, who never had a chance to be heard, helped, or saved."

The Los Angeles District Attorney has since requested a resentencing for the brothers. However, Erik Menendez has criticized the Netflix series for its "horrible narrative" and "vile and appalling character portrayals," as expressed via his wife Tammi Menendez's social media.
