Republicans Demand Transparency: Biden's DHS Secretly Releases Over A Million Illegal Aliens Into American Communities

A line in the sand. That’s what Republicans have offered President Joe Biden’s administration as they push for disclosure within two weeks of how many illegal aliens the Department of Homeland Security has let loose in the U.S.

Led by Republicans James Comer from Kentucky and Glenn Grothman from Wisconsin, the House Oversight Committee expects DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to share by June 7 the number of illegal aliens released into American communities. Before Biden took the office of President, foreigners were allowed entry on a limited case-by-case basis through the parole authority.

According to Breitbart, reports have indicated that 99% of inadmissible aliens have been allowed into the United States. During the past two years, the Biden administration has paroled over a million inadmissible aliens making appointments through the CBP mobile application.

DHS says that it will implement a lottery-type program due to the “high interest” in the program. The department indicated that the lottery system would randomly select roughly half of those applying for parole at ports of entry.

It could be years before undocumented aliens receive a Notice to Appear (NTA) in immigration court, as there are scheduling backlogs at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) offices. One of their offices is booked solid for appointments until May 2029. Others already show full bookings for four years.

The pipeline for the undocumented has let in more illegal aliens than the United States can process promptly.

A handful of Republicans signed the letter sent to Mayorkas, including Reps. Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Virginia Foxx (R-NC), Clay Higgins (R-LA), Pete Sessions (R-TX), Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Nancy Mace (R-SC), Jake LaTurner (R-KS), Pat Fallon (R-TX), Kelly Armstrong (R-ND), and Scott Perry (R-PA). According to Breitbart, the letter contains a directive for Mayorkas to hand over “all documents and communications containing any numerical accounting” of’ paroled illegal immigrants crossing between Ports of Entry and given a pass into the country through the mobile app.

Estimates show that over 800,000 illegal immigrants have been released in America’s interior using the mobile app since January 2021. According to estimates, in April of 2022 alone, 91,000 were released into the country.
