In an interview with Fox News Digital, he went as far as to say that he believes that Trump receiving the nomination is "inevitable."

Hawley said, "And that's not against anybody else," and "I just think that Trump is going to be the nominee, and Biden's going to be the nominee of the other party."

The Senator said, "I think he's going to be the nominee. It's going to be Trump and Biden — and I know where I'm going to be." Hawley argued that the challenge for the next person who occupies the White House, regardless of who that is, will be to "make America strong."
