Kyrsten Sinema Gives HILARIOUS Reason Why She Stopped Attending Dem Lunches

She used to be invited to these lunches as a member of the Democrat Party. However, many things have changed since then, and Sinema is now self-labeled as an Independent Senator. On top of that, she says she stopped attending the Democrat lunches because they were nothing more than “Old dudes eating Jell-O.”.

Politico first reported on the story and said that Sinema stated that the luncheons were nothing more than “old dudes eating Jell-O and talking about how great they are.”

Senator Sinema was speaking with a group of GOP lobbyists when she stated that caucus “lunches were ridiculous… Old dudes are eating Jell-O, everyone is talking about how great they are. I don’t really need to be there for that. That’s an hour and a half twice a week that I can get back.”

She continued by saying: “The Northerners and the Westerners put cool whip on their Jell-O, and the Southerners put cottage cheese.”

The Senator registered as an Independent in late 2022. This distances herself from the Democrat Party as she looks at a run for re-election in 2024. Democrat frustration has been high with Sinema, and she would likely have been defeated in a Democrat primary in Arizona had she remained in the party. However, registering as an Independent has put Sinema in a spot where she could still hold on to her seat depending on how the votes shake out. However, others believe the split between Sinema and the Democrats will make it easier for a Republican to win the seat.

Fox News reports that Sinema said: “I’m not caucusing with the Democrats,” and said that she is “formally aligned with the Democrats for committee purposes,” but that she is “not a part of the caucus.”

Sinema is an equal opportunity insulter regarding how many Senators interact with one another and the public. In this case, the Senator was poking a lot of fun at the Democrats, but she also has a history of poking fun at GOP Senators for some of their habits and formality. This is important to know because this is the kind of thing that could win Sinema some fans who are upset with the status quo and the way that politicians interact with one another.
