Date-Night Gone WRONG: Los Angeles Couple Held At Gunpoint After Outdoor Dinner Date

Fox News reports that the robbery was captured on video and that the couple feels rather upset about the situation. But they are also somewhat resigned to the fact that this is just how things have started to line up in Los Angeles. They feel like it is virtually impossible for people to feel safe no matter where they are in Los Angeles, and that is a serious issue for everyone in one of America’s biggest cities. The LAPD put out a press release on the situation that stated: “The Los Angeles Police Department’s Olympic Division Robbery detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for two robberies,”.

The incident took place on March 15. The department posted a video of the situation on its website. The video shows the suspect sneaking up on the two individuals held up before they could reach their vehicle.

KTLA reports that the couple was having a date in front of Jaragua, a Salvadoran restaurant in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles. The restaurant owner spoke to KTLA: “Obviously, they were scared, traumatized, and can’t walk in the neighborhood.”

The LAPD believed the suspect was wearing a black hoodie, black pants, black high-top shoes, possibly tactical boots, and black or gray gloves. They also believe the same suspect robbed another individual approximately 2 miles away on the same night. Fox News reports that the suspect is identified as a Black male standing 6 feet tall, weighing 180 to 190 pounds, and between the ages of 30 to 35. They also believe that he has black hair and brown eyes.

The restaurant owner said that he is fed up with the neighborhood’s crime and that they “used to be a community where you could walk your dog, you could go out with kids, you could go to dinner with your loved ones.” He continued to say, “We have to do something about it now.”

This is the thing that continues to be a problem throughout Los Angeles, and there are many more of these types of problems ahead. This has made it that much harder for individuals to have a fun time out and hard for small business owners to be successful.
