The City of New York has recently announced that it is mandating its employees to undergo radical critical race theory (CRT) training.

According to a source who spoke to Fox News, this training is part of the city's new policy to ensure that the contracts and hiring of city employees are made through a racial equity lens.

The source, who is employed by the city, spoke to Fox News on the condition of anonymity and said, "This is really unfair. We're being mandated to take this training without our consent. We have to participate in these sessions and we have no choice in the matter."

The training program is described as an "anti-racism" education program that will be delivered through a series of virtual webinars. The training sessions will focus on topics such as White privilege, racial microaggressions, and "White fragility."

According to the source, the training is mandatory, and employees are expected to attend the sessions and take notes, regardless of their race. The source further stated that the training has been mandatory since January 2021 and that it is expected to continue throughout the year.

The source also said that employees had raised objections to the training, stating that it is biased and that some of the information presented is inaccurate. The source added, "It's unfortunate that we have to sit through this. It's a waste of our time and resources. We should be working on the things that really matter in our city, not this nonsense."

The New York City Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) is responsible for implementing the new training program. The CCHR states that the training is meant to "promote racial equity in the workplace and to help build a culture of inclusion."

The CCHR also states that "race-based discrimination is still prevalent in today's society and the training will help city employees better understand the issues and how to create an equitable workplace culture."

Critics of the new training program have argued that using CRT to combat racism is misguided. They argue that this approach relies on stereotypes and oversimplifies the root causes of racism, which can be more complicated than just White privilege.

Others have argued that this training could be used to push a politically correct agenda rather than actually combatting racism. They point out that this training has been criticized in the past in other cities and states and that its effectiveness is questionable.
