While Trump has already announced his intention to run for President in 2024, and DeSantis has not made that announcement, DeSantis is already included in the polls.

This year’s New Hampshire polls show exciting results that we haven’t seen before.

According to the Washington Examiner, “The polling showed a competitive field for Democrats in New Hampshire. President Joe Biden was backed by only 37% of New Hampshire Democrats, leaving 46% wanting another candidate and 17% undecided. In a separate breakout of alternative candidates, Biden only captured 25%, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg received 16%, former first lady Michelle Obama at 15%, and current Vice President Kamala Harris captured 5%.”

When it comes to Republicans, DeSantis is leading with 42%. Only 30% of those that participated in the poll favored Trump. This comes as a shock after the 2016 race. Trump’s victory in New Hampshire helped him win a path to the White House.

Trump is already on the campaign trail, with a visit to South Carolina coming up. However, some Trump supporters say they aren’t entirely sold on Trump. Instead, they have a wait-and-see approach.

Republicans have yet to release information on who else will be on stage with Trump. Regardless, he’ll be on stage Saturday to kick off the campaign. According to ABC, “Trump will deliver remarks from the Columbia State House in an event hosted by Gov. Henry McMaster, who has endorsed Trump, and Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., who is widely expected to make his Trump endorsement official on Saturday.”

Before heading to South Carolina, Trump is scheduled to speak in New Hampshire, signaling that his presidential campaign is hitting the road already. This comes as several other Republicans are weighing possible runs for the Presidency.

New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu is one potential Presidential candidate, although he has yet to make a formal announcement. Two other potential candidates to keep an eye on are Nikki Haley and Tim Scott, both of whom are expected to announce their decision in the coming weeks or months.

This leaves many Republicans waiting to see what will happen before solidifying their support for former President Trump. However, there aren’t a lot of other Republicans that will run against President Trump either.
