Now, one particular person at Fox News is making history.
The Western Journal reports, “According to a news release from Fox News on December 15, “Jesse Watters Primetime” was 2022’s fastest-growing cable news program and, incredibly, finished the year as the highest-rated 7 PM hour in cable news history.”
However, it’s not just his primetime show that is doing exceptionally. Another show on the Fox Network also made history. “The Five” is another popular show on the network, which features Jesse Watters as a co-host. Per The Western Journal, “‘For the first time in television history, a non-primetime cable program closed out the year as cable’s most-watched in total viewers,’ the Fox News release said.”

The Fox Network had two historical shows, but that’s far from the only thing that the network has going for it. It also boasts of having 13 of the top 15 news programs when measured by the total number of viewers.

For many, this doesn’t come as a surprise. Fox is known for slamming other networks in the rating department. Per The Western Journal, “This is the network’s seventh year in a row of rating dominance, so it’s hardly a flash in the pan.”

This isn’t just a yearly growth. Fox saw more than a million viewers every day. According to The Western Journal, “In total day viewership, Fox News was the only one of the top three networks to grow year over year in both the key 25-54 age demographic and in terms of total viewers,” Mediaite reported. “Fox scored a total day average of 1.49 million total viewers during 2022 – a 12% increase from the previous year. In the demo, Fox was up 3% with a total day average of 231,000 viewers.”
This proves how much Fox dominates the news space, especially compared to competitors like MSNBC. They can’t hold a candle to Fox’s ratings.
