He is a hands-on kind of CEO, not afraid of mixing up with critics of his policies. According to Fox Business, he had an exchange with Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif, the outgoing chair of the House Intelligence Committee.
Schiff took exception to Musk’s recent suspension of journalists whom he believes had doxed the location of himself and his family, placing them in danger. Schiff tweeted, “Elon Musk calls himself a free speech absolutist, to justify turning a blind eye to hatred and bigotry on Twitter. But when journalists report unfavorable news, they are banned without warning. The devotion to free speech is apparently not that absolute. But the hypocrisy is.”
The” unfavorable news” that Schiff referred to was the location of Musk’s private plane. Musk regards this as doxing his and his family’s location, which he believes places both of them in physical danger. Musk has restored the privileges of most of the journalists in question after taking a poll.

Musk, apparently taking exception to be lectured to about hypocrisy and free speech, not to mention hatred and bigotry, from a Democratic congressman, retorted, “Thankfully, you lose your chairmanship very soon. Your brain is too small.”

Later, thinking better than taking such a personal tone, Musk deleted the tweet, but not before others copied and reported on it.

The exchange was not the first one between Schiff and Musk. Soon after Musk took over Twitter, Schiff asserted, “On Elon Musk’s Twitter:- Slurs against Black people have tripled - Slurs against women are up 33% - Slurs against Jewish people are up 61% - And slurs against gay man are up 58%.” He also stated, “These numbers are abysmal – and unacceptable. Today, @RepMarkTakano and I are demanding action.”

Schiff has tangled with Republican House members for years. He claimed that he had “direct evidence” of collusion between former President Donald Trump and the Russians to steal the 2016 presidential election. No such evidence exists. Schiff also sat on the January 6 Select Committee and was one of the managers of the first Trump impeachment.
Because of this and other lies, presumptive incoming Speaker Kevin McCarthy has announced his intention to remove Schiff from the House Intelligence Committee entirely.
