According to local news outlets, Kevin Bacon met the man on the homosexual dating app Grindr and arranged to meet him on Christmas Eve. However, Bacon never returned home. His concerned family contacted law enforcement, who conducted a welfare check. They found his naked and dismembered body hanging from the ceiling of the suspect’s home.

Against his lawyers’ advice, the suspect pled guilty to the charges but is still facing further proceedings to determine the severity of the murder charges. According to a video of the hearing, the judge accepted the man’s plea and replied, “The court does find you guilty of open murder and dismembering a body, and your conviction now is going to be part of the record of this court. We cannot, however, give you a sentencing yet, because we’re not finished. We have to have a degree hearing. I spoke to counsel, and we agreed that that degree hearing will be conducted in this courtroom on October 18th and October 19th, 2022.” The courts have yet to determine whether they will charge the incident as first or second-degree murder or merely manslaughter. Open murder is a broad charge in Michigan that can include both first and second-degree murder. If the man is convicted of first-degree murder, he could face life in prison.

“For obvious reasons I’m thinking this morning about the friends and Family of this young person Kevin Bacon. His life was taken from him much too soon. His love was hair dressing. I bet he would have done a great job on this mess on my head. RIP KB,” the actor posted.
