Democratic leaders all over the country love the fact that they have limited the effectiveness of law enforcement.

The “defund the police” concept swept through these regions quickly, and as a reward for their efforts, they get to live with higher crime rates.

The victims, in this case, are the law-abiding citizens that make up the general population. They’re often targeted by criminals wanting to take advantage of helpless people. But in Houston, Texas, the citizens are gathering together to support the annual “Day of Remembrance” put on by Crime Stoppers.

Past gatherings allowed victims’ names to be read from the platform. But recent events have made it to where the names will have to scroll across a large screen because too many people were murdered.

Andy Kahan is the director of victim’s services for Crime Stoppers. Fox News reported that he stated, “Three or four years ago, we used to read off the names and ages of the homicide victims for that year. We can’t do that anymore because it would take hours.”

Fox News also released a report by the Houston Police Department which said, “Texas’ largest city and the fourth largest in the United States, reported 323 murders.” A department spokesperson noted the numbers were unofficial and had not yet been formalized.

There is a slight decline from the 327 homicides the city reported as of Sept. 22, 2021. For all of 2021, officials said Houston experienced 473 killings, up from 261 in 2020.

Criminals are bolder than ever because a liberal president sits in the White House. They know their crimes will be tolerated better than if a Republican was there to empower police to do their jobs better. But the liberals fail to support law enforcement because they stand with the felons.
