The caught-on-camera incident occurred near Imperial Beach in California, where the migrants illegally entered the US by : "swimming around the International Boundary Maritime primary fencing," a Customs and Border Protection spokesperson announced on Wednesday.
The video clip shows one of the migrants being held face down in the sand by an agent.

The other migrant was recorded yelling and lunging at another agent who swung a baton at the man until another agent tackled the migrant from behind.
During the recording, loud shouting can be heard, seemingly arriving from other migrants on the other side of the barrier in Tijuana, Mexico.

The video was posted on Instagram by US Rep. Mayra Flores (R-Texas), who announced it was shot by a TikTok user, according to the Washington Examiner.
Flores called the incident "just a small example of what our brave men and women of [Customs and Border Protection] deal with on a daily basis" and blamed it on President Biden.

"Left without any support by this administration and thanks to their open border policies, disrespect and misconduct toward our law enforcement officials have reached alarming levels," she continued.
A CBP spokesperson explained to The Post on Wednesday that the incident occurred at around 5:10 p.m. on Sunday when migrants entered the US by "swimming around the International Boundary Maritime primary fencing."

"As agents attempted to take both migrants into custody, the migrants actively resisted and assaulted the agents," the spokesperson announced.
"During the confrontation, the agents deployed less-lethal devices."
Both migrants are Mexican nationals, one 17 and the other 20, who were taken into custody, the spokesperson said.

A spokesperson for the FBI's San Diego Field Office said it was "aware of the situation" and was "investigating the assault on federal officers."
"We will review all available facts of the incident to determine what federal response is warranted," the spokesperson stated.

"As this is an ongoing matter, we have no further comment."
US Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) stated, "Encounters like this will only continue to happen until we secure the border, target and destroy cartels, and actually stand up for the rule of law."
"Until Republicans decide to dig in and use the power of the purse to take on this administration, this is only going to get worse," he continued.
