On January 21st, 2023, Governor Ron DeSantis attended the Jaguar Chief NFL game in Jacksonville, FL. DeSantis was present with his wife, Casey DeSantis, and his two children, Madison and Mason. DeSantis also had the honor of flipping the coin at the start of the game. The Jaguars won the game 30-14, and DeSantis gave a speech at the end of the game to the ecstatic crowd.

DeSantis stated, “It was an honor to be here today at the Jaguar Chief game and to be able to cheer on our hometown team.” (Kruger, 2023). The Governor was seen interacting with the crowd and taking pictures with fans throughout the event. It was a memorable day for the city of Jacksonville and all of its residents.
